AISES Annual Conference - November 1-3, 2007

The American Indian Science and Engineering Society will host its annual conference in Phoenix,AZ. The 3-day event includes a Career Fair, dynamic nationally-recognized speakers, panel discussions, and workshops.

SHPE Conference - Oct 31 - Nov 4, 2007

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers 30th annual conference will be held in Philadelphia. The conference is renowned as the premier recruiting event dedicated to Hispanics in engineering, science and math fields.

NSBE National Convention March 19-23, 2008

The National Society of Black Engineers National Convention will be held in Orlando,FL . Over 10,000 students, technical professionals, middle and high school students, and top technical corporations and universities are expected to be in attendance.

Fellowships

Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship

Prestigious national program focused on increasing the number of underrepresented students who will pursue Ph.D.s in core fields in the arts and sciences. Fellowships include mentoring, research stipends, and travel support (conferences, graduate school visits, etc.).

GEM - Ph.D. Science Fellowship Program

The goal of this program is to increase the number of minority students who pursue doctoral degrees in the natural science disciplines -- chemistry, physics, earth sciences, mathematics, biological sciences, and computer science. Applicants to this program are accepted as early as their junior undergraduate year. Applications due November 1.

Summer Opportunities

MIT Summer Research Program
